I'm going from an SD630 and hands down, this beats it. I even had an SX210IS and these images are on par with it, if not better. Like others have said, images appear better in ISO 100. When using the flash, my only concern is the black shadow in the bottom right corner of images. I've discovered a new way to avoid the infamous black shadow. Remember: "Keep the light on the right." If you have a light source, keep it on the right of your shooting frame. I took several photos and noticed that if i moved the bottom right corner of the frame into a light source, the black shadow disappears. You could also Zoom to avoid the black shadow. Anyway, it's best not to use the flash if you don't have to. Canon could have avoided this issue by moving the flash to the right side. Other than that, this camera is wonderful! The power source on the camera could go for days of shooting and reviewing. I would not hesitate to recommend this item. |
